Piñata

Piñata (n): monthly subscription box of creative, educational activities delivered through the post addressed directly to children aged 3-8

Piñata was founded by Ej Trivett in 2012 when a UNICEF reported, after a global survey, that kids in the UK are the “unhealthiest and unhappiest” on the planet.
After a bit more digging Ej discovered that right now, across the UK, there are nearly 5 million children spending almost 5 hours a day in front of a computer or a TV, waiting for their parents to spend time with them.
Unhappy with these statistics, Piñata was born. They know it’s not easy being a parent and the pressures of busy modern life are tough on families and eat into your time. So that’s why  Piñata started; to make it easy.

And because they’re a social business, they use their profits to deliver Piñatas to deprived communities… bringing smiles to those children most in need.

Hailed as ‘Blue Peter in a box’, Piñata provides a handy toolkit of fun activities for families to do together, and for your child to do alone. Piñata activities have been developed by play and education specialists for 3-8 year olds, so the age-specific contents grow up as they do.
What’s more, Piñata boxes have been conveniently designed to fit through letterboxes of all shapes and sizes, so you’ll never have to collect it from the depot or wait in to sign for it.
